Location Details

The spectacular scenery of the north west Lake District is some of the most stunning and beautiful in the British Isles and sat right in the very heart of it is the small hamlet of Loweswater. Loweswater is nestled between the beautiful North Western Fells, offering relative peace compared with the busier areas of the Lake District. Loweswater lake is a 1 mile long, peaceful lake that is overlooked by many tourists, Crummock Water and Buttermere are also within easy reach. Enjoy gentle lakeside or woodland strolls or more challenging walks up Melbreak, Whiteside or the mighty Grasmoor. Loweswater is also home to a 400 year old inn which is still serving customers today.

Reviews

Everything about this place is outstanding. Beautiful furnishings, perfectly clean, well equipped. The location is brilliant as lakes within walking distance. Amazing view of a cedar tree and surrounding mountains from the cottage. Lovely area of the lakes to visit. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was luxurious, shower powerful and hot. There is a tassimo coffee machine so bring extra pods. There is an inn about 10 to 15 mins walk away. We had one meal there and the food was of a good standard.
