The Old Chapel, as the name suggests, has an ecclesiastic history, this is reflected in the seamless blend of olde worlde charm and contemporary chic. The property sits in an adorable country setting with Bowness and the shores of Lake Windermere just a 10 minute drive away and there’s an excellent country pub within easy walking distance - so you get seclusion without compromising on access to amenities. Great for couples or families, the chapel sleeps four guests over two delightful bedrooms, one of which features a Victorian corner bath - the bedrooms are on separate floors for added privacy. In addition, there’s a lovely first floor lounge giving elevated views of the surrounding countryside. The picture is completed by a fabulous kitchen / dining room with a wood burning stove and French doors that lead out to a ‘secret’ garden with a furnished patio. The Old Chapel is the perfect place from which to fall in love with country living.
The pretty hamlet of Crook is situated in beautiful Lakeland countryside and offers excellent access to the heart of the Lake District National Park. There are two hotels/pubs in Crook itself and a wide variety of super walks on the surrounding fells. Less than six miles from Lake Windermere - England's longest lake - and a similar distance from all of the amenities of Kendal, Cumbria's historic market town.

OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
