Cleverly arranged and tastefully refurbished, this ground floor apartment offers spacious accommodation for a couple looking for a comfortable Lake District holiday. The traditional stone porch leads through a hallway into a large and beautifully furnished sitting room. A welcoming sofa and lovely armchairs are arranged around the warming stove, but the highlight has to be the fabulous bay window with original working shutters. A dining table makes the most of this aspect, an ideal spot for a romantic supper and for watching the world go by. The period windows open onto a tidy balcony with chairs from which to admire the views over to Loughrigg Fell. Off the sitting room is a lovely slate floored kitchen with fitted units and modern appliances. A more casual table and chairs, again with wonderful window, are perfect for breakfast or a coffee with the papers. The bedroom is tastefully decorated and supremely comfortable, while the modern en-suite bathroom is a wonderful place for a relaxing soak after walking on the fells or enjoying a cruise along nearby Lake Windermere. There are many walks to enjoy from the property itself. Loughrigg Fell and Wansfell are close by while Rydal Water and Grasmere are only a short drive from Koru. The nearby villages of Windermere and Hawkshead are within striking distance and the lake shore only minutes away. What a perfect base for your holiday!
Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.

"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
