Super cottage in a large village within striking distance of the coast. Well equipped and very cosy. Couldn't fault anything in the cottage, and with a Co-Op, 4 pubs, a chip shop and 2 other takeaways, a train station and a half-hourly bus service you can have a very sustainable holiday.
Stayed as a family visiting the east coast. Lovely cottage with modern design inside. Furnished to a good standard and very clean. Lots of rooms on different levels provides a quirky style. Owners welcomed us to the property and provided lots of tips. Very friendly. Cottage has got everything you need for a short break. Shower room upstairs is electric and so a little weak but there is another shower over bath downstairs. Parking was on the road outside the property. In the village there are places to eat and take aways. We used Spinners take away and thought it was good. Also in the village there is a train station and you can go to Filey, Scarbourough, Bridlington etc within 20 minutes approximately. You can also walk directly to Filey over the fields which is direct and nice. Ordered a home delivery from Tescos which worked well. Would recommend staying here as it's so well placed to access the East Coast.
Beech cottage is a very well maintained, comfortable property. It has a great location within a 3 minute walk of every amenity you could want. 5 minute drive to Filey, 10 minutes to Bridlington or you can even catch the train, which is a 10 minute walk through the village. Extremely clean & a lovely modern kitchen. The wifi has a very good speed and everything you need is in working order. The cottages location is in a very quite part of the village with very little passing traffic. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our five day stay here and would not hesitate to return. Paul & Debbie, the owners were very nice hosts and would help you with anything if you needed it.
This property is immaculately presented. Spotlessly clean, spacious, comfortable and has been refurbished with attention to detail . We loved our post lock down holiday here. Great location close to quiet beaches and Filey.
A beautifully renovated cottage by Paul and lovingly decorated with thoughtful home features and lovely soft furnishings cleverly made by Debbie - a lovely couple for whom nothing is too much trouble. A pint of milk left for your arrival with a card welcoming you to the start of your visit is a lovely touch. The place was spotless and the little courtyard was a pleasure to sit in with a glass of wine (or 2!) to discuss the days activities - its a short drive to main different beaches so lots of lovely walks An absolute pleasure to have visited and we look forward to returning
We stayed at Beech cottage while we visited family in the area for my 40th Birthday after restrictions were lifter after lockdown. The cottage was beautifully decorated and furnished and was immaculately clean. Debbie and Paul has even left a birthday card and cake, which was a lovely touch. From booking to leaving- communication was fantastic, nothing seems too much trouble. The village is quiet but has everything that you could need for your stay (we can highly recommend the chippy!). We will absolutely be staying again, in fact we didn’t want to leave. One of the best cottages we have stayed in.
