This charming beach town is located about 5 miles from Porthmadog and is often referred to as the "Pearl of Wales on the coasts of Snowdonia." Magnificent views of Tremadog Bay and the Snowdonia Mountains may be had from the town's 13th-century castle, which sits atop a rocky outcrop and dominates the landscape. The two beaches are great for water activities, while the nearby Snowdonia National Park is a paradise for hikers and cyclists. Take a stroll down the shore and spot some porpoises in the water, or unwind in one of the town's many bars, restaurants, or tea rooms while devouring a serving of Cadwalader's ice cream. The stunning beaches and world-famous golf courses of the Llyn Peninsula, as well as further distant sites like the Italianate gardens of Portmeirion and the Ffestiniog railway in nearby Porthmadog, Harlech Castle, and Caernarfon Castle, are all easily accessible by car.
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
