With a quirky reverse level layout with its living area on the first floor with views over the owners orchard and trees beyond, this property makes a lovely holiday home for couples or families seeking a rural escape in Devon. Park up at the front of the property aside the owner's home and make your way to the rear, passing your own private garden before entering your home from home for the week. On the ground floor you can find an inviting twin bedroom equipped with its own television, you can also find the shower room on this level.. Make your way up the striped carpet of the stairs and enter into the spacious open-plan living area; take a seat on the sofa and flick on the television for some lighthearted entertainment before preparing a homemade meal in the amply-equipped kitchen area. Enjoy your dining experiences at the table in the centre of the room, or take to dining alfresco outside on your own private patio in the warmer months. From the moment we met our host Danny on a previous visit we knew we would get an extremely warm welcome to cholwell barn for our holiday with our friends. Danny and Sarah go above and beyond to ensure you have a lovely time. Beautifully appointed property with everything you would need. Kitchen very well equipped, Super comfy beds, linen and fluffy white towels. Great location for cycling on route 27. Beautiful gardens which run down to a picturesque river. The Peter Tavy pub serves delicious lunches and dinner highly recommended. We would highly recommend to friends and family. Thank you
From the moment we arrived at chol well barn and even prior to the visit the hosts made every effort to welcome us and pay attention to detail to make our trip. The apartment was simply lovely, even more so than the photos and the forests and steams in the back garden were a delight. We would definitely stay again - this is a hidden gem. Many beautiful trails and walks on the doorstep in this special place. Above all the hosts were truely one of a kind, so thoughtful warm and welcoming.
A lovely property set in gorgeous gardens bounded by woodland and a stream- great to explore. Lots to do in the area from walking on the moors, to visiting historical sites. We went to Brentor to walk to the church. We have also visited the historic market town of Tavistock for retail therapy. Have loved every moment of our stay and wish we could be here longer.
