Enclosed yard with patio, hot tub, seating and access to external laundry room. Private Parking for 1 car and roadside parking permit for 1 car. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 0.1 miles, pub 0.2 miles. Please note the woodburning stove has been replaced by an electric fire.
Windermere is a popular Lake District town boasting an abundance of shops, pubs, restaurants, and of course the famous serene lake, filled with a range of watersports activities and boat rides. The Lakes cruise can take you up to Ambleside, then back down to Bowness, the Lakeside Aquarium and Beatrix Potter's 'Hill Top House' at Sawre. Adventure attractions nearby include Grizedale Forest Park 'Go Ape' adventure park, the 'World of Beatrix Potter', and Lakeland villages such as Grasmere, Coniston Water, Kendal, Keswick and the Lakeland Mountains.

The cottage was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location is excellent. Unfortunately on arrival the furniture on the lower ground level was broken and not fit for purpose. The fridge is small and the shelves are broken, the freezer is in the out house! The pots and pans are too small to cook for more than two at a time! The outdoor table and chairs were broken on our arrival and there is not enough room for more than two people to sit at it! There is no garden to speak off the outlook is dismal! The kitchen dining table was too large for the space,and two of the chairs were unusable as broken, all the chairs were badly soiled. The carpet in the kitchen is unhygienic! Furthermore insufficient cleaning materials were available. We complained but maintenance were unable to fix the broken items during our stay and the owners refused to compensate us for the inconvenience.
