Enter into the real home from home sitting room, which enjoys a refreshing colour palette and contemporary furnishings, including two plush sofas that are awaiting to be sunk into after a long walk upon the rolling hills. Step into the spacious kitchen, where a range of quality appliances can be found, certain to entice a spot of home-cooking by making the most of the electric oven and hob and microwave, as well as a large ridge/freezer for storing your ingredients. The property also boasts a handy washing machine, so that you can easily freshen up your clothes or pack lightly for your trip. When sleep calls, venture up the stairs to the first floor, where you will find two elegantly appointed double bedrooms; look forward to getting snug under the crisp white sheets after an action-packed day. Explore your local surroundings, by taking a walk into the centre of the village, where you will find an Indian takeaway and a fish and chip shop, ideal for those evenings where you do not feel like cooking, as well as a shop for picking up the essentials. Alternatively, travel by car to the town of Chapel-en-le-Frith with its historic core and a larger selection of independent shops, award-winning cafes and restaurants and supermarkets. Discover the town’s past by walking the free self-guided walking trail, featuring 13th Century Church of St. Thomas Becket where 1,500 Scottish soldiers were imprisoned the Civil War, the 18th Century Church Brow and the Market Place with stocks and ancient cross. Those feeling more active can spend the day at the acclaimed 18-hole golf course, or if its is a rainy day, spend some time at the Leisure Centre with saunas, steam rooms and indoor facilities, including a fully-equipped gym. From the town you can climb Eccles Pike for 360-degree panorama of all major Dark Peak summits, a wonderful walk with great photo opportunities. Reviews

Cottage lovely and clean, had everything we needed. The owner kindly left milk, a bottle of wine along with tea, coffee and sugar. Lovely village with shops and a few pubs. There were building work going on near by, but as we were out most of the time it didn't bother us too much.
