Discover the town’s past by walking the free self-guided walking trail, featuring 13th Century Church of St. Thomas Becket where 1,500 Scottish soldiers were imprisoned the Civil War, the 18th Century Church Brow and the Market Place with stocks and ancient cross. Those feeling more active can spend the day at the acclaimed 18-hole golf course, or if its is a rainy day, spend some time at the Leisure Centre with saunas, steam rooms and indoor facilities, including a fully-equipped gym.
