Theakstons of Old Peculiar renown and the Black Sheep Brewery, which currently produces 11 million pints of beer annually, are two brewers that call this town home. The town also offers a good selection of galleries, shops, restaurants, and pubs. A short drive will take you to the well-known towns of Ripon, Thirsk, Northallerton, Richmond, and Harrogate. This is a terrific location for a vacation in any season because there is so much to see and do nearby.
