From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?
We spent a week at Scale house for our wedding that was nearby (the Tithe Barn). I can't recommend this place enough,it was absolutely stunning and made for some amazing wedding photos! The photos online don't do it justice, each room is better than the last and the great staircase is really epic. There are some amazing facilities, the hot tub is great to chill out in and the cinema room was awesome for a movie night to decompress. On top of how fantastic Scale house is, the venue is ran by John and Haley who were so kind and attentive - they make you feel like it's your home for the week. We couldn't recommend Scale house enough and will likely be back to celebrate our anniversary in the future :) Jonny and Danii
Recently got back from a week's long stay at Scale house with a family of 17 and what an amazing week we had. The grounds are absolutely stunning and extremely well kept. The house is decorated in a beautiful modern yet authentic country style and provided home comforts as well as the feel of staying in pure luxury. Haley and John are the most humble, outgoing and welcoming hosts I've ever had the pleasure of meeting when staying in houses similar to this is the past. They helped us with any questions and queries we had and even suggested places to eat and visit whilst we stayed at the house. The children of our party aging from 9 to 15 absolutely love the free roam of the large gardens and the hot tub, whilst the adults enjoyed the gym/sauna,the company, the kitchen and purely just how accommodating the house was for our large family. Fantastic long-term memories were made from our stay here and I would recommend anyone to come and stay at Scale house as I sincerely doubt you will be disappointed. Thank you again Haley and John!
We have just spent a fantastic family holiday at this beautiful house. The younger children called it the castle. 3 generations of the family varying ages from 68-2 yrs old. All the rooms were outstanding. We enjoyed all the facilities on offer. We made use of the hot tub, gym, sauna, table tennis, outdoor garden space and walks in and around the gardens. We played football, cricket, rounders. Enjoyed lots of family time both all together in the large lounges or having our own quiet space in the small TV room or the office/library. We also had a couple of cinema sessions in the special cinema room. A great sized house for hide and seek. Took ages to find everyone. The owners Haley and John made us all very welcome in their family home. A beautiful gift hamper was left for us which was very generous and very much appreciated by everyone. Thank you. I would definitely recommend for a family gathering or a mixture of friends. Nothing was too much trouble for John and Haley and they made everything run smoothly and went above and beyond to make our stay special. Thank you again.☺️☺️
We stayed here over New Year's with a few friends and it was just wonderful. Great facilities & surroundings and the hosts were incredibly helpful in getting us comfortable. Would highly recommend.
