Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.
The presentation of the holiday let is tasteful and the local art/ photography lovely. However , a huge drawback is how tiny the property is. The bedroom is extremely small as is the bed and two seater sofa. Take your own towels, tassimo coffee capsules, dishwasher tablets and toilet rolls as the agent only leaves one of each. We hired through lakelovers and although it was reasonably clean there were issues with the shower and the heating was tricky to work. The noise from the main road is quite loud. Check out is at 10am. The cafes at the railway station and motor museum are lovely. Overall after 7 nights we wouldn’t return and would only recommend for a weekend stay at best.
