Equally as charming as East Yorkshire, West Yorkshire benefits from its close proximity to the surrounding regions of the Peak District to the south and the Yorkshire Dales to the north. From stately homes, to historic museums, West Yorkshire provides a w
We visited this beautiful cottage again after staying last year for our wedding. Once again we were stunned with the beauty of the place, the decorations placed were stunning and added the Christmas feel for our family. We celebrated Christmas here and my grandad stayed with us, we lost my grandma earlier this year so it meant a great deal to us having him with us . He loved it, he had such a brilliant time and it was filled with smiles and laughter. I can not thank Sue enough, not only are you a kind and caring person , but you go above and beyond for your clients. We appreciate you and your beautiful home so much. Thankyou for allowing us to make our own memories in the place we will cherish forever. We will most certainly be back! If anyone is wondering about this place, please do see it for yourself! You won't be disappointed! Thankyou again Sue and family. From the Parsons family xx
We booked this place via booking.com as we were attending a family event and needed some peace and quiet rather than a hotel. Prior to moving to Ireland this area was very local to us but if you’re not familiar it’s as Bradford becomes rural and heads out toward the Worth Valley so is ideal for visiting Brontë heritage, the steam railway and all the historical places of interest. For local amenities, well within walking distance are good shops, food places etc. The house is up an unadapted road and there is parking for one car outside. Outside is a decked entrance and seating area which will be nice in summer. You enter the house into the kitchen / dining room which is both spotless and well equipped. The kitchen has everything even down to a slow cooker. There are place settings for six, utensils galore and plenty of workspace - all you need is food. The kitchen also has underfloor heating beneath the stone tiles. As we looked round the kitchen, there was a personal welcome on a card, a bottle of Prosecco and some local beer which was a lovely touch. Three bedrooms upstairs - two doubles and a single - all spotless and well furnished. The front double has great wardrobe space but also faces a property opposite with a light that remains on all night. This is also the case for the single. Bathroom has a lovely deep bath and a fantastic shower and it’s instant hot water. Again it’s spotless and really well decorated. The living room is great for families with two big comfy sofas and a lovely warm feel. There’s a big TV but also there are board games to enjoy. The Wi-Fi is secure - you’ll need to look at the router for the password. Unfortunately I needed to do some work whilst there and TalkTalk are the broadband provider so don’t rely on it to be either consistent or speedy. This place really is a delight to stay in. The owners obviously want to make you welcome and become repeat visitors and they have pitched it perfectly. The cost is well below that of staying in a chain hotel, it’s a proper home from home and gives you freedom to get out and about or stay and relax. If anything, the arrival and departure times requested are too late and too early but that is a very minor gripe. Really recommend.
