Ferndale greets you with a big WOW as you step through the door. What a fantastic place to stay for a week. It's absolutely immaculate, with bags of space and everything you need from a home away from home. It's got a well equipped kitchen, a spotless bathroom, and a comfy bed the size of a small country. The owners even provide eco-friendly cleaning materials and toiletries which I hadn't expected. The entrance even gets the morning sun, and so you can enjoy your coffee outside with a fabulous view across the valley. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. The location is wonderful - it's just a 5-10 minute stroll away from Lynton with its selection of shops, eateries (The Oak Room, Charlie Fridays, and the Thai buffet at the Old Cottage Inn are particularly good), and art galleries. It's convenient to walk into Lynmouth if you fancy the exercise there and back (it's a very steep hill and a great workout), and if you're interested in exploring north Devon it's within 45 minutes' drive of places such as Saunton Sands, Woolacombe, Putsbourough Beach, Ilfracombe, and Barnstaple's Tarka Trail for cyclists. We'll most definitely be back.
Ferndale is an ideal spot to explore the wonderful views and attractions of Lynton and Lynmouth. Great walks along the coast paths and into the valley of the rocks with excellent views of the sea and rugged coastline of north Devon. We enjoyed Lynton visiting the some of the many options for coffee shops and restaurants with several visits to Lynmouth with the wide variety of local shops and attractions. The charming Cottage catered for everything, with modern decor, furniture and facilities including a very comfortable living room and bedroom. The location was peaceful and relaxing with good views of the forest and valleys. Thank you to our very helpful hosts, we will be back again soon!
A friendly welcome to an immaculate, comfortable and stylish apartment. Well equipped with lovely valley views, a perfect location for exploring Lynton, Lynmouth and surrounding countryside. Stunning coastal and riverside walks directly from the apartment and a wonderfully comfy bed which was much appreciated after a days hiking! We will visit again soon!
Recently spent a few days in this newly opened apartment and will certainly be going back. Accommodation spacious, well-equipped and immaculate. Surrounding area amazing both for walking and relaxation.
We booked this accommodation for a week and wished we had booked for longer. The location of this property is amazing. A short ten minute walk to all amenities. Shops, restaurants and pubs. The little cinema is a must to go to. Lots of lovely walks especially the one to the valley of the rocks. The owners Paul & Wendy were very friendly, always available to help with anything that we asked them. I wanted to take the big comfortable bed home with me but that was not going to happen. Excellent weeks stay and we will be returning again in September.
