Demonicus cottage is a characterful, high quality cottage set in the heart of the gorgeous village of Middleham in the Yorkshire Dales, this wonderful retreat is the perfect location for couples, families and friends wishing to explore Middlehams historical landmarks and castle, the stunning Yorkshire Dales National Park and the county of North Yorkshire. It is the perfect base from which to explore the very best of the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage set over three floors, has been lovingly restored over the years and retains many of the original features today including stunning beams in the bedrooms and a lovely fireplace. Step into the sitting room where you will be delighted by the cosy home from home ambiance and where you can cosy up on the plush sofas in the evening after a day exploring all that this fabulous part of Yorkshire has to offer. There is a TV and DVD player with a large DVD collection, WIFI and several books and games to keep you entertained. From here make your way to the hub of the home, the well-appointed dining kitchen, in here you and your loved ones can gather to pack a picnic for the next day’s adventure or a heart-warming meal for those days when you don’t want to leave this charming holiday home, If the weather is on your side choose to dine alfresco within the rear patio area. Once the sun has set make your way up the staircase where a stylish king sized bedroom awaits you, boasting elegant furnishings and a welcome sitting area and dressing table. Younger guests of the group will be delighted by the well-presented twin bedroom which is tucked away on the second floor of the cottage offering a sense of privacy and delightful views. If you don’t feel like cooking in the evening, Middleham boasts three traditional dales pubs serving food, a hotel and restaurant as well as well stocked village store for picking up those essentials if you fancy rustling up your own home cooked meal back at the cottage. Alternatively choose to indulge in some fish and chips as you walk along the delightful River Ure or brush up on the local history by discovering the largest castle keep in the north of England or the town’s rich horse racing heritage by taking a tour round the many racing stables. If you are feeling more active there are a number of walking and cycling routes both from the door and a little further afield each offering breath-taking scenery and something for all ages and ability. Beautiful quaint cottage in the middle of Middleham square. spotlessly clean, very tastefully presented and with all mod cons . perfect location to see the racehorses going to the gallops every day. Great location to travel around the dales and Middleham has lots of local pubs to enjoy a meal in the evening. Hosts very helpful and attentive to any needs. welcome basket of wine, crips and chocolates, also a lovely touch. Definitely going back again soon
