If you are looking at renting this cottage then don't be fooled by the photographs. This cottage is filthy especially the kitchen. Most of the kitchen utensils are old and worn out and they are covered with food residue. The hob has not been cleaned and is covered with burnt on stains all over. The cooking implements of pots, pans, trays have burnt food residue on and are thick with grease. The fridge on arrival still had food waste inside and had not been cleaned. The kitchen tap is broken and parts missing. As a family we could not use these facilities and were forced to eat out for every meal. When you enter the cottage you are greeted with the stench of dogs. I know this cottage is dog friendly, but you don't want to live in the smell of it. The reason for the smell is the large shaggy rug on the stone floor in the lounge and the dog kennel under the stairs. The cottage had not been dusted for months. In every corner of the property were spiders in there webs and numerous dead insects on the window seals. Everything was dirty and disgusting. Paintwork and woodwork needed cleaning. The towels provided were stained and duvets were torn. The rear courtyard does not have a BBQ and is overgrown with stinging nettles and weeds. The garden has not been kept cleaned. The front gate and fencing is broken and internal locks broken. This property has not been looked after and is in need of some upgrading. I raised a complaint with Sykes and the House keeping company Orian property services immediately on arrival and I did not get any reply. I sent several emails over the next few days of our holiday too no avail. There is no refuse bins outside for your rubbish. I have taken this matter further with there head office. I could go on about this property but feel it best to say, just scroll onto another one. Toby
