Reviews

We had a wonderful stay in this immaculate peaceful cottage. It's not possible to find fault with how clean it is. The owners have thought of everything. We went in November so didn't bring our Frenchie but will do when we return in the nicer weather. We did explore the coast right down to Port Isaac (Doc Martin). There is also a friendly pub literally a stone's throw away.

What can I say wow wow wow what a fab cottage. Firstly I contacted Steve the owner to say we would be arriving early as it’s a four hour journey and that the details said checkin was from 5pm. As the cottage was vacant he would arrange for the cleaners to clean the day before & we could arrive any time on the 23rd December. We walked in & immediately felt at home. The cottage was spotless warm & cosy. The basket by the fire was filled with logs, kindling & fire lighters. There was an array of gifts on the table. Milk in the fridge & Cornish tea. There is a little shop two minutes from the cottage that has everything you need. The garden centre is a five minute drive from the cottage we’re you can buy logs for the fire they also have an excellent cafe. We wanted a relaxing Christmas away from the hustle & bustle of the city it was just perfect. Marie & Martin Bracknell

This beautiful thatched cottage is located just outside of Bude in Cornwall, in the lovely village of Stratton with its two historic pubs serving local ales and lovely pub food. It’s possible to walk to Bude in around 30 mins taking in lovely views across the green fields. Maybe a bit far for young ones. The cottage has a lovely cosy feel with quality furnishings and all the equipment we needed to enjoy our stay, including everything we needed in the kitchen. The sparkling white bed linen provided was lovely along with fluffy white towels. We took our dog, Dotty, with us as dogs are allowed in the cottage and seemed generally welcome in many places throughout Cornwall. The enclosed garden with its rustic furniture was great to relax in whilst Dotty enjoyed a run around! The owner was really helpful and provided us with all the information we needed for our stay, and the welcome treats were a lovely touch. I would really recommend this lovely cottage. We will be going back!! Sam
