Sutherland Barn, Hutton

Sutherland Barn is just beautiful. Spotlessly clean. We all loved the garden and outside space, perfect for our dogs and also for sitting and relaxing. We didn’t want for anything during our stay. The owner provided tea, coffee and milk to get you started before you shop and each toilet had a roll of toilet paper. All sinks had hand wash and there were washing up supplies in addition to a dishwasher with a supply of tablets. There were towels provided for the hot tub (which is lovely) in addition to the regular towels. The annexe is fab and a nice separate space to sit and watch TV if you don’t like what is on in the lounge :) The washer and dryer are in the annexe. It was great to have the American fridge freezer, plenty of space. The village of Hutton is lovely and the pub down the road is awesome. Friendly with the most amazing food. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Sutherland Barn.  Four adults (parents and two ‘children’) and two dogs stayed and had plenty of space for all. There is a stair gate to keep your furry friends downstairs which is a nice touch and we appreciated that. Our dogs are not allowed upstairs at home but I wouldn’t put it past them to sneak up whilst in a different house. Book your holiday here, you won’t be disappointed. Oh one last thing, we had a Sainsbury’s shopping delivery with no problem. We did put delivery instructions and contact number on as the barn’s front door is behind a locked gate.

Really well thought out barn conversion creating a lovely three bedroom holiday home. The property had all the amenities we needed, the large hot tub in the enclosed courtyard was a particular bonus. The property owner, Robert, was really helpful in providing all the information we needed Excellent local pub a few hundred yards away where the staff were really friendly (Need to book for meals as it was very popular) Great week away!

We booked a staycation due to COVID and were really pleased with our choice. This cottage is in a lovely village a short walk from the local pub. We took part in the local pub quiz on the Sunday evening and everyone was really friendly. The accommodation is very spacious with 3 good size double bedrooms. One room has air conditioning and the other an ensuite. There is a good size family bathroom with a shower over the bath and an additional bathroom in the annexe. The hot tub is a great addition but we didn't need it due to the amazing weather. The cottage is 10 minutes drive from Weston Super Mare. Pets are welcome and catered for although we didn't take our kitten. There is a large, private garden which would be great for small children as there is plenty of shade. The facilities are great with a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher and a large fridge/freezer. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine. Nothing has been forgotten and on the couple of rainy days we had we happily spent them at the cottage playing games and watching films. The WiFi was good (we have 2 teenagers) although it seemed to drop out a bit in bad weather (heavy rain and high winds). We stayed for 2 weeks and opted for a clean and bedding change after the first week - which was lovely to come back to after a day at the beach. I'd thoroughly recommend this cottage and would happily go back, cost permitting.

What can we say, the property was fantastic, well equiped, clean, such a great place to stay. Probably the most luxurious and comfortable self catering we have ever stayed in. The owner Rob was brilliant, one of the party recently broke her leg, and he sorted out accomodation on the ground floor of the annexe. Definately went the extra mile. We highly recommend this.
