This property is ideal for a few days of getting together with family and friends. For us the layout upstairs meant each family had their own bathroom, the ensuite lacked shelving for toiletries, as you only had a windowsill to put your items on. The rainfall shower wasn’t good, hardly any spray and the shower itself could have done with a shelf to put shampoo etc on, rather than on the floor. Downstairs the kitchen has plenty of empty storage for food and an aga for cooking. The lounge sofas are not comfortable and needs the cushions redoing, as there is no support. The two chairs are a bit better, but not by much. There is a large utility room and coat racks in the hall just off. Outside there is a table and chairs, but not enough if the house is full. There is a fenced pond at the end of the patio, but no garden to the property. The grass area belongs to the vine yard, so you are told to stay on the patio area. This is where the house is not suitable if you have children who like being outside, as there is no area to play with a football. The barn at the side of the house is used for weddings and wine tasting, so you have to keep the front of the house clear of cars, but there is plenty of room at the side of the house to park. We had a good time with family, but it’s not a house I would go back to, due to the lack of space for children to play or run around in. I get that this is a vine yard/farm, so you got safety to think about, but there is a way this house could have a garden. Good points, it’s in a quiet area, the layout works well. Kitchen storage. Welcome pack. Niggles, lack of seating outside if the house if full, uncomfortable seating in the lounge, lack of shelving in the ensuite bathroom Lack of cushions for the outside chairs.
We stayed in the farmhouse in conjunction with a wedding. Tuffon Hall provided exceptional facilities and services for the event and I can highly recommend it.
