Accommodation Details
Two bedrooms: 1 x double with TV, ensuite shower room with square thermostatic shower cubicle, hand basin and WC. 1 x double. Family bathroom with bath and thermostatic shower over and screen, hand basin with vanity unit WC. Open plan living, dining and fitted kitchen area. Daffodils is accessed by 4 steps. The lodge is then all on the same single-storey level. The deck is fully enclosed and gated with outdoor furniture. A slab or base is provided for a BBQ but please bring your own disposable BBQ.

A lovely lodge, however when we arrived there had no heating on at all and the lodge was freezing, also there was no water on at all and no instructions on how to get it back on. We rang Sykes cottages as our booking was with them and after being passed on to two other people spoke to a person on maintenance who told us he didn’t know what the problem was, would find out and get back to us. Over 15 mins later we received a text to say that there was an outage of water in the area! my husband called on neighbours lodges to find this was not the case, they had water and that they had instructions re-a switch in the kitchen area to put the water on. He returned, found the switch, not in an obvious place and no notice with it and the water was back on. We have had many many lodge holidays and have never arrived to a lodge that was freezing cold and not ready for use straight away. Disappointing to say the least and would think twice about using Sykes cottages again.
