Reviews

We had a wonderful stay at "Kavieng". This cottage is spacious, cozy , very comfortable and very well equipped! It is the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in . The sofas recline which is super comfort after a long dayhike . On arrival there were tasty pastries and fresh bread waiting for us . In the fridge was a bottle of Prosecco . We would definitely recommend this place. It is a high standard and very good value for money . We felt very much at home here ! It is actually a flat but it feels like a cottage.

This lovely ground floor cottage/apartment is in a great location for exploring the Brecon Beacons and visiting the Wye Valley. With the canal and River Usk so near there are plenty of walks and picnic places from the door step. Set back in lovely gardens with a brook running through, it is very peaceful yet only a few minutes drive to pubs shops etc in Crickhowell, Abergavenny and surrounding villages. Kavieng was spotlessly clean and really well equipped - more so than any of the other cottages we have stayed in over the years. It is cosy but also very light and airy with plenty of well thought out space - the modern bathroom is huge, and there is plenty of space in BOTH pretty bedrooms. There are three private sheltered terraces, one on each side of the house so that you get the sun at any time of the day. The owners, Vicky and Stewart, were brilliant hosts and made us very welcome. They had clearly put heart and soul into making Kavieng such a lovely holiday home with so many extras we didn't expect. There was milk and a very generous basket of tea, coffee and tasty treats for example, and we loved the luxurious local toiletries provided. We had a lovely holiday as two single women but this cottage would also be great for families of 4, or 2 couples. It is of a very high standard and good value for money.
