From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?
Fabulous cottage with everything you could possiby need, catered for. Super friendly owners are so thoughtful-left us lots of treats to welcome us to the property. Hot tub was amazing and added to the luxury. Loved being able to feed the alpacas too. We can't wait to return. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality J & I.
Stayed here for 4 nights to celebrate my 60th birthday. What a fabulous place, peaceful and relaxing in beautiful surroundings. The cottage is a credit to Jo and Ian who were great hosts, there if you need anything but not intrusive. The personalised touches and welcome pack made the stay extra special (thank you for my birthday card and balloon). The hot tub and outside space was really private overlooking the fields and alpacas. We enjoyed cosy evenings in front of the log burner with a glass of wine. Will definitely return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
Thanks, Jo and Ian for a good stay- the place was great, and was everything amazing as the pictures on the website. The hot tub was fabulous and the welcome pack was a nice touch. Enjoyed all the personalisation. Jo and Ian's tips about -places to eat were great and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Look forward to booking again.
We have just spent the perfect Easter weekend at this beautiful cottage tucked away in rural Yorkshire. The hosts, Ian & Jo made us feel so welcome and the property is just perfect if you’re looking for peace and quiet. The cottage is brilliantly equipped and comfortable. The hot tub is ideal and the extra touches provided put the icing on the cake. We are already planning our next visit. Thank you Ian & Jo
If you are looking for peace and quiet surrounded by stunning views, with the background soundtrack of sheep and curlews whilst sitting in a hot tub then here’s the place for you! The cottage is FABULOUS. You are greeted warmly by Jo and Ian the owners, a bottle of bubbles, beer, chocs, coffee, tea, milk, and juice. I have never stayed anywhere with added extras like here (you even have dish soap, loo roll and hand sanitiser). There’s something soothing about watching alpacas watching you and chewing. However, if you fancy being active or want to go shopping there are many places to visit and not far from cities for shopping or night life. I would give 6 stars if I could
This cottage is a must stay, whether that's a place to stay whilst exploring the Yorkshire Dales, or simply a place just to relax and rejuvenate from the hustle and bustle living in the city. Having an eye for detail due to the nature of my work, I can honestly say I could not pick a fault with anything at all, so much thought has gone into making this cottage so cosy and comfortable. I could say so much more about the cottage and the lovely little kind gestures, but then that wouldn't be a surprise for future guests. All I will say is that you won't be disappointed! Thank you so much
What a gem of a place! Everything is immaculately clean, brand new and of the highest quality. A bluetooth hot tub with jets and fountains. A perfect way to end the day, fizz, andrea botcelli and with a view over the countryside shared only with the alpacas. We cannot wait to visit again. Thank you Jo and Ian. Just perfect.
Beckside cottage is a beautiful cottage in a lovely quiet location with lovely views. The hosts Jo and Ian are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and they are always on hand if you need them but also give you privacy at all times. The cottage has everything you could ask for and more and it is all of a high standard. This was my 2nd visit and I will definately be back. Plenty of nice walk around the area and lots of lovely pubs for a meal.
The cottage is beautiful. The new owners had only recently taken over the cottage and have updated it. Everything is of a high quality and the cottage is immaculate and clean throughout. The upgraded outdoor furniture was much appreciated and the hot tub was perfect after being out all day! The cottage is in a remote and peaceful location surrounded by fields - an ideal base for exploring the Dales. There were plenty of footpaths nearby but as we had a car, we visited various places further away, such as Malham Cove, Aysgarth Falls, the Ingleborough Waterfalls Trail and also Whernside and Pen y Ghent. There is a pub - Black Lane Ends Tavern - within walking distance (takes about 35 mins) but be warned, some of the walk is uphill! We also went to another local pub in Cross Hills - The Dog & Gun. This is a little further but there is a local taxi firm that are quite happy to come and pick you up and the pub will call a taxi for your return journey if you ask them. There are various other restaurants in Cross Hills but we were quite happy for a pub meal - I’m sure Jo and Ian would be able to recommend other places. Jo and Ian were excellent hosts and we can’t wait to visit again. Thank you for a wonderful stay and wish you every success for the future.
