Beaumaris is a historic town on Anglesey overlooking the Menai Strait and Snowdonia, making for stunning sunrises. With its World Heritage-listed mediaeval castle, Victorian pier, gaol, and courthouse, it's a major yachting centre. Beaumaris' mediaeval street pattern has been preserved. Setting, architectural styles and periods, scale, open spaces, roofs, and quality contribute to the town's character. The town has shops, restaurants, pubs, fishing, boating, and a golf course. Red Wharf Bay, also known as Traeth Coch (Red Beach), is famous for its sunsets. At low tide, 25 square kilometres (10 square miles) of sand are exposed, providing safe bathing, family fun, fishing, and miles of scenic walks. Holyhead has ferry connections to Dublin. Beaumaris, on the south coast of Anglesey, is a good base for touring Wales and is close to Snowdonia.
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
