Location Details
Rock is a desirable and much sought after coastal village located on the north eastern bank of the River Camel opposite the famous harbour town of Padstow which is easily reached by a regular ferry service. The summer home of royalty and celebrities offering top class restaurants and quality shops, the real draw is the array of watersports including sailing, water skiing, windsurfing and angling. Continuing on a sporting theme, the golf course at nearby St Enodoc is considered to be one of the best in the country. With an abundance of world class beaches all within a short radius it is easy to see why Rock holds its popularity.

Stayed here 3 weeks ago, property has the potential to be a great holiday cottage. Location is fantastic. However on arrival the cottage was not presented well at all. Cob webs, dust and dirt overgrown garden. On the inside although the bedding and towels were clean the floors and crockery were not, broken shower door, rubbers hanging off the rear door, blocked plug hole, filthy games room. To the rear of the property the neighbouring bungalow was having a new roof. Scaffolding was maybe 15ft away and level with my 17 year old daughters bedroom window and master bedroom. At 8 every morning the nail gun started and the builders were on the scaffolding. We have raised these concerns with Sykes cottages, we were told they would consult the owners, no offer of a resolution. 3 weeks on, numerous emails we have had no response. This property should not be let in it’s current condition or whilst the building work behind is undertaken. Really disappointed as this was not a cheap last minute booking. I would not recommend Sykes cottages for your holiday booking, find a reputable agent that takes pride in the property they let.

Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability.
