Polzeath, a seaside resort with a sandy beach backed by rock pools, is regarded as one of the top surfing beaches in the country. The South West Coast Path, a 630-mile trail that goes through Polzeath, features a number of small businesses, cafes, and restaurants. Wadebridge, a prominent market town nestled alongside the River Camel with a variety of shops, pubs, and restaurants, as well as North Cornwall's sole family-owned cinema, is little over seven miles away. The renowned Camel Trail runs through the village, and the neighbouring town of Padstow, with its port, pastel-washed ancient houses, and well-known eateries, is well worth visiting. Newquay, the UK surfing centre, is only a short drive away, with over 11 kilometres of golden sand beaches. Polzeath is a great place to start your explorations of this section of Cornwall.

My partner and I have just spent a long weekend in Elmwood and cannot speak highly enough of it. The location is perfect for Port Isaacs, Polzeath and Rock. Wonderfully quiet but 10/15 minutes from the above. The house is beautifully decorated to a very high standard with everything that you need for a self catering holiday. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds with luxury bedding. You are spoilt for choice for restaurants in the area and Would particularly recommend the Mariners In Rock. We will definitely be returning. 5 stars.
