This welcoming apartment in Dartmouth, forming part of a 16th century building near the river's edge, provides character accommodation and stunning river views across to Kingswear, With two en-suite bedrooms, comfortable accommodation in a quiet setting, families and couples will find the perfect touring base at Ferry View. 30 stone steps lead down to a small pathway, linking the entrance to the apartment. Inside, the modern kitchen has been excellently equipped and the living room provides plenty of room for everyone to relax together. There is a large, comfortable sofa, and two armchairs, where you can share stories after dinner, or step out on the balcony for pretty views over the water. Each of the bedrooms provides the luxury of an en-suite, with further views to wake up to from the master bedroom. The second bedroom offers twin beds and with plenty of space, it’s bright and comfortable. Step through the kitchen out to a small, secluded courtyard with patio furniture to get away from it all, or settle on the balcony for fresh air and fantastic sights stretching out to sea. Make sure to drop by Bayard’s Cove a Tudor fort on the doorstep, or head half a mile further for a day at Dartmouth Castle. Stop for fish and chips at the waterfront on your return, or choose one of the many pubs, bars or tearooms filled with treats. Five minutes’ walk from Ferry View brings you to the centre of Dartmouth, with its selection of shops, excellent restaurants and amenities. As well as wonderful walks to wander, water sports to try there's also the Blue Flag beach at Blackpool Sands within a short drive. Also, there are several golf courses and spa a few miles away. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
