Location Details

Wheddon Cross is a village in the Exmoor National Park, a flourishing rural community with a village shop, welcoming pub, and an all-weather court for a variety of sports such as tennis, netball, and basketball. Exford, a lovely town in the middle of the Exmoor National Park, lies close by. Exford has a village green, tea rooms, a shop, a Post Office, and two ancient inns serving good food and drinks in a picturesque setting by the River Exe. Exford is in the heart of a walker's paradise, with miles of well-marked trails leading down the Exe and River Barle valleys and up to the adjacent hills, including Dunkery Beacon, Exmoor's highest point with spectacular views across 17 counties. Exford is known for its fishing and horseback riding, and every August the community hosts a horse exhibition.
