Accommodation Details
Ground Floor. Living with woodburning stove, Smart TV with DVD player, ample sofas and chair and selection of books and DVDs, Separate dining room with dining table for 10, corner sofa, stand alone DVD player and selection of board games. Eat in Kitchen with electric range oven with gas hob, microwave, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, Dolce Gusto coffee maker, toaster, electric kettle, high chair and ample supply of utensils, cooking equipment, cutlery, china and glasses. Bedroom suite with super king zip link bed (can be twin on request), wardrobe, dressing table with hairdryer and separate sitting area with Freeview TV and DVD and tip up/recliner chair. Ground-floor shower room, walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail, wc and cabinet for toiletries. Utility with washing machine, tumble dryer and supply of doggy towels, so ideal space for drying wet paws. First Floor. Master Bedroom with super king bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers dressing table, hair dryer and travel cot (please bring own bedding for cot). Bedroom with super king zip link bed (can be twin on request), wardrobe, chest of drawers, dressing table and hairdryer. Two further bedrooms both with double bed, chest of drawers, hanging hooks and hairdryer. Bathroom with bath, walk in shower, heated towel rail, wc, and cabinet for toiletries. Outside. Wrap around garden with patio, private hot tub, terrace and garden furniture. Garage (lockable, so can be used for safe storage of mountain bikes and the like). Use of field at rear of the property (please pick up after your canine companions). Private driveway and extensive parking.
Amenities & Facilities
Bed linen and towels (including towels for Hot Tub and doggie towels) included in rent. All beds and bedding are hypoallergenic. Three well behaved dogs welcome (owner may consider allowing more dogs). Note: there are steps down to the front door, but there is a ramp to the side of the property for easier access. Oil central heating throughout (oil included in rent). Gas BBQ. Power and starter pack for woodburning stove included in rent. Please do not leave your canine companions in the property alone and please keep them out of the bedrooms and upstairs (which are carpeted). Ground floor living areas all have paw friendly hard flooring. Stairgates at bottom and top of stairs. Livestock is in surrounding fields, so please keep your canine companions company when they are outside. Public footpaths cross the property offering plenty of walking opportunities for canine and human guests. For canine companions who are crate trained there is 1 X large and 1 X small crates available for guests use. Nearest shop 1 mile, pub 2.7 miles. Sorry, strictly no smoking. Sorry, no stag or hen parties.
Location Details
In the rural centre of South Shropshire is the charming tiny town of Cleobury Mortimer. The town features a unique selection of boutiques, a brewery, pubs, and restaurants, but it is most well-known for its distinctive church with a curiously crooked steeple. The renowned Ironbridge World Heritage Site, Bridgnorth, Tenbury Wells, and the mediaeval market towns of Ludlow (with its magnificent castle), Tenbury Wells, and Bridgnorth are all easily accessible. The Clee Hills and Wyre Forest are great places to go walking, and nearby horseback riding, golfing, and fishing are other options.
Reviews
We initially chose this place by drawing a 2.5 hour circle from our home so that all our family members could get there in a reasonable time. This was important because we are scattered and needed to arrive with plenty of parking at different times. There are so many things to do in the area so we managed the Safari and a couple of National trust places/walks. We also needed to bring dogs - and the house was really well equipped for doggies. Our hosts provided a most excellent service with a hottub including a great view, a well equipped kitchen which allowed us to order a tesco delivery and then create magnificent dinners to eat at one of the 2 large dining tables. The bedrooms are gorgeous - with high quality bedding and towels aplenty. The hosts were welcoming and available - letting us know they had just bought a gas BBQ for the outdoor area. We really hope to return one day as we had such a great family 60th birthday do. There are pubs and shops nearby too. S
