Bendigedig is a welcoming mid-terrace house in Belthorn, amidst rural Lancashire. With a local pub just over the road and two bedrooms sleeping four guests, Bendigedig is a great location for a group walking holiday, even providing extra towels for drying off muddy dogs. The house includes a porch area for hanging up coats and kicking off boots, so you can get settled into the warm living/dining room; the interior retains some original features, such as beautiful wooden beams and stone flooring, with home comforts of two sofas, a TV and a gas fire to warm tired feet. The kitchen is small, yet well-equipped with electric oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer and a washing machine; you will have no problem impressing your guests with your best home-cooked meal. Climbing the stairs, one king-size and one double bedrooms with plenty of storage to put away your belongings, before you freshen up in the bathroom, complete with a bath, walk-in shower and heated towel rail to warm up after a long walk in the elements. At the front of Bendigedig there is a decking area with a picnic bench, where you can sit in the sunshine and watch the world go by with your morning coffee. Explore the local village of Belthorn, which is home to some of the best views looking out over the moors to the Ribble estuary, here you will find a delightful Italian restaurant and a fantastic pub which houses a small convenience store, ideal for picking up any last-minute essentials! The surrounding countryside offers a plethora of scenic walking and cycling routes, with beautiful scenery at every turn. Head into the small village of Guide, where you will find excellent amenities such as shops, a post office and traditional pub called The King Edward, a favourite among locals and visitors. The property also sits just outside Blackburn, which is a great town for a day or night out; catch a performance at one of the three theatres, explore Witton Country Park, try the local food at Blackburn Market or treat yourself to a dinner out at one of the many restaurants. Preston sits just west of Bendigedig, a livelier city offering plenty of culture and outdoor activities, such as the Harris Museum, Art Gallery and Library, Avenham Park and an abundance of shops and cafés. Head a little further south to visit Manchester, a fantastic city for its nightlife, art scene and neighbourhoods bustling with independent cafés and restaurants; visit on of its many galleries and museums, wander along the picturesque canal, stopping for a pub lunch on your way, or treat yourself to some retail therapy.
