Location Details
Stowmarket is a lovely Suffolk market town between Needham Market and Haughley. The town is the largest in Mid Suffolk and has many attractions, including the Museum of East Anglian Life and the nearby River Rat. There are pubs, cafes, restaurants and takeaways to choose from, as well as supermarkets and convenience stores. The picture-perfect village of Haughley, with its traditional thatched cottages, convenience store, pub, and takeaway, is easily accessible from the town.

Wow, definitely one of Suffolks best kept secrets. The Forge is a superb country escape, beautifully equipped with absolutely everything you could possibly need. So quiet and restful. The owners have taken a piece of Suffolk's history and lovingly restored and improved the Forge to a very high standard even keeping some of the original features. Even though the Forge is in the owners garden it is still very private and you are not disturbed by them in the slightest. Do not let this put you off. The parking is secure and the gardens and surroundings are immaculate. The hosts left us a welcome pack which was gratefully received and a lovely little touch. Thanks for a great couple of days, hopefully see you again.
