For entertainment purposes, there is a Smart TV and WiFi. Fuel, power a starter pack of logs for the woodburning stoves, bed linen and towels are all included in the rental price. Outside there is off-road parking for 6 cars and a garden with an orchard, lawn, summerhouse and furniture. Apologies, but this property does not accept pets or smoking. Location Details

Settled on the Derbyshire and Staffordshire border, between the rivers Churnet and Dove, rests the charming village of Rocester. Once mentioned in the Domesday Book, the village is steeped in history. The village now plays home to a traditional country pub and a well-stocked convenience store, and enjoys close proximity to JCB Golf and Country Club and Denstone Hall Farm Shop. The market town of Ashbourne rests nearby, along with the fun-filled amusement park of Alton Towers.

Reviews

We love this house and have visited it many times. It is based in Marston Montgomery, a beautiful little village just up the road from Rocester. The house is a spectacular Grade II* listed, 16th Century building and is on a par with a National Trust property. The house and garden overlook rolling fields over the Derbyshire Dales onto a sunset aspect. There are extensive and well maintained grounds. In the property there are 6 double bedrooms all decorated to high standard and there is underfloor heating throughout the ground floor. Across the road, there is a great pub which serves delicious food We have uploaded some pics below, the property is marketed via Sykes Cottages. We highly recommend.
