Once a Roman hamlet, Newent is one of the most beautiful market towns in the Valley of Leadon. It provides a variety of attractions, such as the half-timbered Old Market Hall from 1668, as well as historic inns, restaurants, tea rooms, and independent shops. The beautiful Royal Forest of Dean, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is bordered on the north by Newent, which offers a number of paths for hiking, biking, and equestrian riding. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
