Morfa Bychan is a charming community with a local grocery, tavern, fish and chip shop, Post Office, and an excellent 18-hole golf course within a short walk from Black Rock Sands' beautiful coastline. The lively coastal town of Porthmadog, nestled on the scenic Glaslyn Estuary, is only 2 miles away, with a variety of unique shops and restaurants, as well as the Ffestiniog Railway and Welsh Highland Railway, where you can ride by steam train through spectacular Snowdonia landscape. The nearby village of Tremadog, with its bars and restaurants, is close by, as is the picturesque village of Borth-y-Gest, with its cliffs and bays, and the famous and distinctive Italianate village of Portmeirion, which is within easy touring distance. Explore nearby Criccieth, Harlech, and Caernarfon's grand castles, Llechwedd's slate tunnels, or try a day of sea, course, or game fishing in the vicinity. The excellent location for exploring all of Snowdonia's attractions as well as the stunning Llyn Peninsula.
