Location Details

Ruswarp is a little community on the River Esk, 1.5 miles inland from Whitby, with historic stone cottages line the main street. Ruswarp is well-equipped, with a local pub serving hand-pulled real ales, a village shop, and a well-known butcher. The Esk Valley Walk runs through the village, and it's only a 25-minute walk to Whitby's town centre. Ruswarp has a daily bus service, and steam locomotives travel through the single-track railway on a regular basis! Enjoy an hour of river boating, a ride on the tiny train, a snack at the tea shop, or a ride on the miniature train. A fantastic base for visiting the North York Moors and the nearby coastline.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Reviews

This is an amazing house to stay in with friends and family. Lot of amenities and plenty of room inside and out. The kitchen is well equipped for catering. Lots of space in the garden for dogs to run around as well as children and very safe. The playroom was a nice touch for pool and darts and all of us enjoyed the week. Although a large house it was very cosy wiht the heating on. We will definitely return one day. Thank you for a great stay.
