A beautiful home privately situated off a country road. Myself and my husband spent a week here in August for our 10th wedding anniversary and we couldn't of been happier. The house has a charm all of itself. Each night we lit a fire in the living room and listened to records, had dinner in the beautiful kitchen which had its own fire place and sat outside under the stars. The area is outstandingly beautiful. You can walk along the quiet back roads, where you will find horses and wild deer, watch the farms at work and locals cutting the turf. If you want to see the real Ireland, this is the place for you. The rooms are large with big comfy beds and it has everything you could need. Lots to see in North Mayo, Down Patrick head is 15 mins away, bally Croy national Park is a must see with great hiking treks, Nephin is 30 mins away if you fancy a decent hike. Ceide fields exhibition was well worth the visit, then Achill stunning! The ice house in balina has fabulous seed weed baths if you want something special. Crossmolina was a lovely town with everything you need there. We came back 4 weeks ago and I still miss the house and the area. I look forward to when we can visit again, it was a dream come true
