North Elmham, a small and quiet village in Norfolk, is known in Old English as the 'settlement where elm grows.' It is a lovely region with plenty of lands and a lake to explore. It's a history buff's dream come true, with the ruins of a Norman Chapel turned into a fortified mansion and an array of English Heritage sites nearby. It also has a variety of activities to enjoy during your visit, such as a tennis club for an afternoon of sport, Afternoon Tea at The Kings Head Hotel, or a countryside pub lunch in the midst of breath-taking landscape. Close by in Billingford, you'll find a fantastic fishing lake, excellent for spending quality time with the kids, or Churchill's shooting ground, which offers an action-packed experience you'll never forget. Pensthorpe Natural Park, a 700-acre reserve and conservation park with interactive pathways and eco play areas for the kids, is a must-see while in the area.
