Within 2.6 miles, you'll find a shop, and within 2.1, a pub. Please note that two well-behaved pets are welcome, but smoking is prohibited. Location Details
Rosscarbery is an outstanding holiday destination, lying at the head of a tidal inlet approximately a mile inland from the sea and halfway between Skibbereen and Clonakilty. This tranquil rural town, which dates back to the 6th century, was once one of the main European towns and was famous as a centre of study, having previously been a university town. It now has a significantly lower population and enjoys a great laid-back and calm ambiance.

Neben dem Haus eine zusammengefallene Scheune. Möbel sind verwohnt, schätzungsweise aus den 70ger Jahren. Es gab nur ein Bad mit Toilette für 4 Zimmer, eine anscheinend vorhandene Gästetoilette war abgeschlossen und zugestellt. Die Wanne leckte. Die ursprünglich weiße Matte in der Wanne war dunkelgrau vor Belag. Der alte Wandschrank vor der Toilette sprang immer auf und gab den Blick auf seinen unaufgeräumten Inhalt frei. Das In der Ausstattung erwähnte Toilettenpapier bestand aus einer nassen Rolle mit Dreck dran. In der Küche standen Putzeimer herum, an der Spüle etliche verschmutzte Lappen und Bürste. Im großen Schlafzimmer waren auf dem Bettbezug frische Blutflecke. Offensichtlich war der Bezug nicht gewaschen. Ein Kissen war nicht bezogen. Wir haben unsere Gäste in einem nahegelegenen Hotel untergebracht, weil wir das Haus als unzumutbar empfanden. Für uns selbst haben wir kurzfristig keine Alternative mit den Hunden gefunden und sind die 2 Nächte geblieben.
