Location Details
Blaenau Ffestiniog is ideally located for visiting Snowdonia National Park. Shops, taverns, and restaurants abound. Zip Globe Slate caves is the longest and fastest zip line in Europe and the world. The slate mines are a UNESCO world heritage site, and tourists may take underground expeditions to experience old-fashioned mining. The Ffestiniog mountain railway spans 13 kilometres across Snowdonia to Porthmadog. Portmeirion, famed for its architecture and the film site of The Prisoner, is nearby, as are child-friendly beaches.
