Location Details
Kendal, a historic market town with great shopping, is renowned as the Southern Gateway to the Lakes. Old cobbled roads and byways radiate off the main street, and the 12th-century stone ruins of Kendal Castle overlook the town. Abbot Hall Art Gallery has portraits by Kendal-born George Romney, Turner, and Ruskin, and Tate shows. Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall with its Topiary Garden are close, as are easy-to-walk limestone escarpments with views of the Lakeland Mountains, the Howgills, and Morecambe Bay. Kendal is near South Lakeland, the Yorkshire Dales, and more. Kendal's museums, the Museum of Lakeland Life, the Quaker Tapestry, Lake Windermere, and the National Park are all easily accessible.

We cannot fault the stay house is lovely area is nice close to amenities but on arrival home we realised we had left a berghaus bright blue coat behind hanging up in the kitchen we contacted their housekeeper who said the home owners went in after us and on checking the coat was no where to be found not even on the hook we left it ODD If you book this house please make sure you don't leave anything the opportunity to pay £15 for return of items does not happen Like we said it would be a very different review if we didn't feel the taking of our coat hand not put dampers on it all Very dishonest
