Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
Awful. Where can I begin. Arrived to find that out of 14 bulbs in the kitchen around 10 were blown or missing. There were no light switches that actually worked near the door so you had to walk across the room in the dark to turn a light on. Multiple switches covered with electrical tape. On trying to cook a Christmas dinner we found that half of the range oven didn’t work. On trying to light the gas rings, out of 6, 2 didn’t work. Almost every window frame was covered in furry mould and clear signs of ignored damp throughout. With thick mould growing on bedroom and dining room window frames and surrounds. There were thick cobwebs throughout the property, which have clearly been ignored for months. The whole place needs a deep clean! The sun room leaked with rain coming in through the roof and the patio door. The large fireplace in the sitting room also leaked with water running in whenever it rained. Upstairs the beds were awful, uncomfortable cheap mattresses, which after a few days of sleeping on and putting up with the mould we left and came home early. Contacted the owners on the number provided and haven’t heard anything back, they clearly aren’t interested. Very disappointed and would advise anyone else not to book. The house is shared with the office for a campsite which is at the same location which wasn’t mentioned anywhere when we booked. For us the campsite was closed but I imagine it would be very intrusive if it’s open when you stayed. All in all, it was a terrible place to stay.
The worst holiday cottage we have ever stayed in. From the mould on the bedroom windows to the dead insects on the kitchen window sill (and so much in between) Steer well clear.
