Location Details

Scarborough, a bustling seaside town popular since Victorian times, has preserved many of its original fine buildings, parks, and gardens, as well as its historic castle perched atop a cliff above the city. Families and small children alike enjoy the sandy beaches of North Bay and South Bay, both of which have stretches of golden sand. The Stephen Joseph Theatre, Scarborough Spa, and Scarborough Open Air Theatre, where you can see live music, are just a few of the many family-friendly activities and attractions in Scarborough. Scarborough is a great location for outdoor activities, with golf courses, beautiful coastal walks along the Cleveland Way, stunning cycle routes such as the old railway to Whitby, beautiful sailing, and championship-quality surfing all within a short distance of one another. Scarborough is a destination that has something for everyone if you add in the usual seaside entertainment and bustling promenades located close to the beach. Scarborough is an ideal location for a fun-filled vacation because of its proximity to the coast and the moors.

The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Reviews

"Although the listing was accurate, with hindsight there is a glaring lack of information about the location of the property, It is in an area of multiple HMO's, most other properties appear to be converted to flats." The house next door had 6 broken/boarded up windows and was occupied by the local drunks. As a result there was fighting, shouting, banging and loud music. The house directly opposite was not much better. The pavement outside was littered with broken glass empty beer cans and condoms. Whilst the property was excellent the area is certainly not conducive for a family holiday which involves children. I would certainly not recommend this property nor Sykes assuming they are aware of the shortcomings of the area.
