Just spent a fantastic weekend at a charming little cottage in Frogmore, and I couldn’t have asked for a better getaway. The cottage had everything we needed. The living room was comfortable with a nice sofa and chair to relax in. There's WiFi and a TV, so you can stay connected or just chill with a movie. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials, including a cooker, dishwasher, and fridge freezer. There are three bedrooms, with the main one having a double bed. All of them were comfortable, and we had a good night’s sleep. The garden at the back is full of different plants and has two hidden spots to sit and enjoy the sun. It's a lovely way to spend the morning, relaxing with breakfast and a cup of tea. The best part about staying here was the location. Frogmore is a great base to explore the local area. The local creek is literally across the road, so if you want to go paddleboarding or canoeing, it’s a very short walk. Just be mindful of the tide, as the water level gets very low when it's out. But it's a relaxing way to spend a couple of hours on the water. You can walk along the creek to the local farm shop which is stocked with all the essentials , has a butcher and seating outside if you want to grab a bite to eat. There are some great pubs nearby. The Globe is just a couple of doors down and offers great beer and food. If you want to travel a bit further, there are two more pubs in Stokenham, and just past there, you have Slapton Ley with a great pub and a fish and chip shop. We had food at the Tower Inn in Slapton one evening and would highly recommend it. Frogmore offers a great central location, with Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Slapton, Blackpool Sands, and Dartmouth all within a short drive. It's a fantastic spot to explore the surrounding area. All in all, Our stay at the cottage in Frogmore was just what was needed for a relaxing weekend getaway. The cozy cottage, friendly pubs, and lovely countryside made it a great escape. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a laid-back and enjoyable break. We will definitely go again, as there’s so much more to explore.
