Location Details

Located in the heart of the Dales, Pateley Bridge was named Great Britain's Best Village High Street in 2016. The steep main street is lined with quaint tiny alleys and yards where a variety of unique stores and restaurants may be found, including two award-winning butchers, a fishery, a bakery, and England's oldest confectionery shop. Aside from its award-winning floral displays, Pateley Bridge is home to a local leisure centre with a pool and a riverside park complete with a children's play area. The town's Craft Workshops and the award-winning Nidderdale Museum, which features a dynamic variety of exhibits depicting many facets of former Dales life, are both well worth a stop while in town. The Nidd Valley, both upstream and downstream, is a great place for hiking, biking, and birdwatching.
