A 4 star Gold property. Second-floor apartment. Two bedrooms: 1 x king-size with TV and en-suite with walk-in shower, basin, heated towel rail and WC, 1 x double with TV. Bathroom with bath with shower over, basin, heated towel rail and WC. Open-plan living space with kitchen, dining area and sitting area

Three Smart TVs, DVD player, three DAB radios, CD player, iPod, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Secure underground parking for 1 car. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shop 0.1 miles, pub 0.1 miles. Note: Apologies, but no children under the age of 10 are allowed to stay at the property. Note: The property is on the second-floor but there is lift access available

On arrival we discovered that my car would not fit into the allocated parking space in the underground car park.I managed to get it in after much effort only to discover I could not open my door sufficiienly.Another resident pointed out were the visitor parking spaces were fortunately (But on the second day a thoughtless person blocked me in so we could not use the car.) The appartment was very contemporary and well equipped the inside was difficult to fault. With 4 nights to go the lifts became broken and unusable ,to get to the car park we had to go down 3 flights of steep stairs.With me being in my late 60s with asthma this became a problem especially when we had to check out and leave moving all our luggage in several stages. The booking was made with Lyme Bay Cottages a company well run and one that I have used many times,since the booking they have been taken over by Sykes Cottages. During our stay I rang and reported these issues and on my return home I rang Sykes they are not as customer friendly as the previous agents and refuse to accept any fault. I will never use them again.
