With a vast range of activities and attractions to suit visitors of all ages and interests, Weymouth is a fantastic holiday spot any time of year. The beautiful, golden sand beaches are home to first-rate watersports infrastructure, and regular fishing expeditions depart from the harbor's charming, teeming atmosphere. Portland Harbour and the mountainous "Island" of Portland are only a short drive away, connected to Weymouth by the breathtaking Chesil Beach. About 7 miles away is Dorchester, the inspiration for Thomas Hardy's "Casterbridge," or you may take a drive along the coast and stop by Abbotsbury Swannery and Subtropical Gardens. You may also just go to West Bay; the scenery along the Dorset Heritage Coast is breath-taking.

This place is just lovely, cannot recommend enough, the apartment is spotlessly clean, spacious and well laid out. And then there is the view! You could spend hours just watching the busy harbour, boats in and out. There was a parking permit in the apartment that we didn't know about so we had paid to park in Asda car park for the week, a short walk away but very reasonable. Even if we had used the permit think it may have been hard to find a spot in the allocated streets. Be aware there are lots of stairs, on second floor , but so well worth the climb
