Location Details
The picturesque Broadway village, also referred to as "The Jewel of the Cotswolds," is tucked away beneath the Worcestershire hills. This classic English village, one of the most stunning in the Cotswolds, not only offers a fantastic selection of distinctive shops and boutiques, galleries, and restaurants, but it also has a rich history reaching back to Roman times. The famed Lygon Arms, which has been a favourite for decades, now offers spa services that may be used on a scheduled basis. Stratford-upon-Avon, Cheltenham Spa, and Worcester are all easily accessible from Broadway, which makes it an excellent starting point for exploring the Cotswolds and its surroundings. This really is a terrific area for a quiet vacation, all year long, with a plethora of National Trust properties, museums, scenic hikes, and cycle routes.

I would recommend this lodge. The decor was very nice and the bed was justt right for me and my partner. There was a nice touch of a bottle of Prosecco and milk and some cakes given by the host.There were also a couple of things I would say needs to be rectified for the next guests. The bath towels were different sizes. One fitted round me, the other didn't. I would recommend to buy a new larger sized bath towel and some of them were hard and only 1 was soft. There were also quite a few house spiders lodging in there when we arrived and what looked like an egg sack in the bathroom. I would recommend someone going in beforehand to check for any spiders at this time of year. The shower over the bath was the better one. The one in the en suite is just not powerful enough so I didn't use that again. Clothes/towel hooks are definitely needed in the bedroom/ bathrooms. There is nowhere to put our clothes at night or our towels to hang up.A TV in the main bedroom would be a lovely addition. Most lodges do this now as I would have liked to watch TV in bed. The oven tray is very heavy and quite small. I would suggest the owner maybe investing in a flat larger oven tray as I couldn't fit everything in this and some taller drinks glasses as the ones in there aren't tall enough. Also a couple of nights we couldn't sleep as the water pipe at the side of the bedroom was drip, dripping all night when it rained. The noise kept us awake. This really needs looking at and also a blackout blind put up in the bedroom would be a nice touch as it was too bright in a morning and woke me up.The last point I would like to say is it would be a really good idea to have a welcome pack of instructions of how to use things in the lodge and also upto date leaflets of places to visit and some information on the nearest supermarkets and how far away they are would be good. All lodges I have stayed in previously have this info.Apart from those little niggles, we did have a good stay.
