Whitby, a coastal town and port in the Scarborough district of North Yorkshire, is located at the estuary of the River Esk. Conveniently located for trips to the nearby countryside and coast, the neighbourhood offers a wide range of things to do to make the most of your time in this scenic region of Yorkshire. Blue Flag beaches and the North York Moors are just two of the attractions in this area. Among Whitby's many draws is the town's quaint atmosphere, which is characterised by its many narrow streets and tucked-away alleys, which are home to a wide variety of restaurants and stores. Visit the picturesque harbour and lighthouse to take in a sunset or go whale watching or on a coastal cruise to get up close to marine life.
