Porthmadog, a thriving port town, is beautifully situated on the Glaslyn Estuary. In addition to being the starting point for steam trains through the stunning Snowdonia landscape to Blaenau Ffestiniog and Caerforn, Porthmadog also boasts a wide variety of unique shops and restaurants. Borth Y Gest, a picturesque village with cliffs and coves, is easily accessible on foot or by car from the main settlement. Portmeirion, an iconic Italianate fishing village, is conveniently located nearby. Portmeirion, made renowned as the setting for The Prisoner and the finale of Cold Feet, is located on a craggy clifftop on its own private peninsula, surrounded by miles of sandy beaches and woodlands. Black Rock Sands, a beach with stretches of sand that seem to go on forever, and the nearby castles of Criccieth and Harlech are among local highlights. Zip World Slate Caves and Bounce Below are also easily accessible and offer a wide range of activities suitable for the whole family, from exhilarating zip lines to underground caverns to explore. This is a great base from which to explore Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula.

What a lovely find this apartment is. Lovely view of the harbour from the lounge window, which you couldn’t take your eyes off. The apartment itself is a real cosy modern space with feature stone walls and the modern lounge/kitchen/dining area all focussed on that view. All well presented with everything you could want. The steps down from the apartment take you straight on to the harbour and into town, so close to all the amenities. We will definitely be returning.
Lovely property , spotlessly clean not sure what previous review experienced. Perfect location and lovely views . Great for Snowdonia and the beaches around the peninsula. Porthmadog is a nice town with some good pubs and restaurants.
Mouldy damp bathroom. Mould on the ceilings and down the walls. The toilet brush and holder were faeces stained. Shower head was dirty and stained. We contacted the owner who “sent cleaners” however no difference apart from a new toilet brush but not the holder! I asked for the cleaners not to use strong chemicals on the mould as I have a chest condition and we could not stay out of the property for a long time. I did point out the issue was more than cleaning, however there was little evidence the place had been cleaned even with soap and water The pull cord for the bathroom was brown with grease and dirt So disappointing and the owner did not seem to be bothered to rectify the issues. We left a day early so we could shower at home
