Waverley, Lyme Regis
The living areas consist of an open-plan kitchen, dining area and sitting area with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, Smart TV with DVD, and a woodburning stove. The bedrooms consist of a doble and a twin along with a bathroom, and a ground-floor shower room with hairdryer. Outside there is a decked veranda with furniture, an enclosed courtyard with furniture, and permit parking in Woodmead Halls long stay car park. One well-behaved small/medium fog welcomed, but sorry, no smoking. You'll find a shop in 0.1 miles, a pub in 0.2 miles and the beach in 0.3 miles. Highchair and travel cot available (please bring own bedding). WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Waverley is a wonderful base for exploring Dorset as a family. Note: Children should take care outside with the steps leading down from the veranda to the courtyard; please bear this in mind when booking. Note: Check-in from 4pm, check-out by 10am.

Do take care as the lane is on a hill. As with many characterful properties, there are slopped ceilings in the bedroom with restricted head room in some parts.
Location Details
The charming seaside town of Lyme Regis, which boasts a maze of winding streets lined with craft and antique stores, galleries, and cafes, has a lot to offer tourists. Take a stroll along the well-known Cobb causeway, which overlooks the historic harbour and offers fishing cruises, or go fossil hunting nearby. The picturesque coastal path provides fantastic walking options and breath-taking views of the Jurassic coast, while Lyme Bay's gently shelving dunes and clear seas make it the ideal place to unwind and rest.
Reviews
We booked with Sykes and the house, garden, decor, equipment is exactly as described, which is lovely. But... There is no parking near the property. A permit to park in the nearby car park is provided. What they don't tell you is, that said car park is down a steep incline and then back up another lane to the property. There are double yellow lines and no parking signs so it's difficult to get anywhere near. A trolley is provided but it took us 2 trips (couple in our 60s and the dog) The bedrooms are also an issue as both have sloping walls/ceilings. I'm 5 ft 3 and either had to crick my neck or bang my head. We had a nice holiday but wouldn't book this property again. Shame because the house and garden are extremely good and the they left us a nice welcome bag of goodies. I just think people should know what they're getting into. We found it a challenge.
