Location Details
Rhosneigr is famed for its dramatic cliffs and sandy beaches on Anglesey's west coast. The settlement contains a 6th century church, stories of smugglers, and notable off-shore shipwrecks. It was a popular Edwardian holiday destination. The community offers some of the greatest windsurfing and kitesurfing in the UK, with lessons available. Fishing, sailing, sand yachting, wreck diving, golf, and family activities on the beaches. There are bars, restaurants, and stores in the village, and Llangefni, Holyhead, and Bangor are nearby. Prince William's Air Sea Rescue training base is near Rhosneigr. Anglesey Race Circuit is nearby for automobile and motorcycle racing, and the island has Pili Palas Butterfly Farm, Anglesey Sea Zoo, and Beaumaris Castle. Boat cruises around Puffin Island offer the chance to witness nesting puffins and guillemots. On the mainland, enjoy Victorian Llandudno's shopping, restaurants, dry ski slope, Snowdonia mountains, and Llyn Peninsula beaches.
