The charming seaside town of Lyme Regis, which boasts a maze of winding streets lined with craft and antique stores, galleries, and cafes, has a lot to offer tourists. Take a stroll along the well-known Cobb causeway, which overlooks the historic harbour and offers fishing cruises, or go fossil hunting nearby. The picturesque coastal path provides fantastic walking options and breath-taking views of the Jurassic coast, while Lyme Bay's gently shelving dunes and clear seas make it the ideal place to unwind and rest. A wonderful vacation spot!
Devon, with its quiet country lanes, patchwork of lush green fields and sleepy villages is not to be missed. Stately home lovers will be spoiled and why not finish with a scrumptious Devonshire cream tea?
We found the very small upright two-seater sofa to be very uncomfortable. The two chairs are far too wide and long for the small sitting area and were also uncomfortable. We go on holiday to enjoy the local area and to be able to relax at the end of the day on comfortable seating. Sadly we could not really relax on these. The mattress, though fairly comfortable, was lumpy down the centre. These would be the only issues which would stop us booking what is otherwise a really lovely apartment with stunning views, and private parking. The three flights of stairs may be an issue for some. One of the best welcome packs we have had in many years of self catering. For a really nice evening meal book a table at The Talbot Arms in Uplyme. The owners were very friendly. The food was lovely, the portions large, and prices very reasonable.
